Coogee USA is an innovative manufacturer of high quality magnesium and titanium metal powders for use in a variety of highly specialized industries. These include but are not limited to aerospace, defense, renewable energy, medical and pyrotechnics. Coogee’s state of the art manufacturing processes offer unique solutions to titanium and magnesium powder markets that add value to customer products.
Coogee USA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Coogee Chemicals. With a foundation of 50 years in the chemicals industry, our capabilities are demonstrated by delivering bespoke solutions for specific customers or industry. We safely manufacture, store and transport a range of dangerous and non-dangerous products.

History of Coogee USA
Coogee Chemicals Established.
CSIRO begins titanium research.
TiRO™ Fluidized bed reator invented at CSIRO.
CSIRO and Coogee begin collaborative research and development on titanium powder.
Melbourne Technology Centre established.
Commissioned the design and fabrication of Mg Atomizer.
200tpaTi-6Al-4v powder Demonstration Plant located at Coogee HQ, Perth (Kwinana).
Coogee purchased Ottawa facility.
Relocated Mg Atomizer from Sheffield UK to Ottawa IL.
Commissioned Mg Atomizer for commercial production of Mg powders.
We are excited to embark on our US growth journey – the US is a key market for metal powders. We are proud to establish our operations at Ottawa IL, and acknowledge and appreciate the support of City of Ottawa and the State of IIIinois. The on-site manufacture of magnesium powder today and titanium and titanium alloy powders (using our in-house proprietary TiRO Technology) in the near future, adds onto our demonstrated capability in dangerous goods chemicals manufacture. Our Coogee USA team have a ‘can do’ mindset and relentlessly drive new ideas and innovation to ensure our operations are safe, efficient, and we consistently produce high-quality product to meet our customers requirements.
